Storing out of clothing season
As the seasons pass the years, we need to use different types of clothing. When one season ends, the clothes will not use a time should be stored elsewhere to make room in the closet and have specific items of the season starts.
In this case it is essential to store clothes properly to avoid irreparable damage to the garments. Certain types of insects can get to make their nests in our clothes and ruin it completely. Furthermore, garments that are not stored properly can be filled with mold and musty smell.
The first thing we do is wash all the clothes are going to save. Even though we do think that the clothes are clean. A well-washed garments reduce the chances of attracting insects. In this case do not use fabric softener as this product may attract insects. We dry all the clothes very well and we have to save them. Add a few small bags of silica gel which helps prevent mold growth.
We hang dresses, blouses and pants on hangers and placed in heavy canvas bags. With the rest of the clothes we proceed to fold each one of the items and place them in a plastic box. We added more bags with silica gel and close the lid. Finally we place the bags and storage boxes of clothes in a ventilated, so that places like a basement or attic are not recommended.
